B.C. Project Cargo Corridors

Here at JORI Logistics, we inform our clients of new opportunities that may improve their logistics process.

B.C. is offering Project Cargo Corridor Permits for certain non-reducible loads on pre-approved configurations to transport between major B.C. ports and the Alberta border at Highway 16. In collaboration with industry and major Lower Mainland ports, the B.C. government has introduce this permit along with other project cargo route improvements in effort to save time and increase confidence for carriers and shippers.

To obtain a permit, carriers and their loads must meet the following criteria including, but not limited to:

  • Configuration: 8-13 axle
  • Gross Combined Vehicle Weight: up to 125,000 kg
  • Maximum Dimensions: 4.88 m high, 5.0 m wide, and approximately 45 to 50 m long
